|
- Oban & the Sea Life Centre
- Cowal & the Clyde Estuary
- Kintyre Shores & Campbeltown
- Glencoe, Loch Leven & Ben Nevis (optional)
|
This tour has a marine theme and therefore close to my
seafaring heart. The Oban tour takes in the bustling port of
Oban, the well sheltered gateway to the Western Isles. Here you
can eat, shop or enjoy walks along the promenade and look
across the sea to the Islands of Mull, Lismore and Kerrera.
The visit to Cowal takes in Loch Fyne and the Firth of Clyde &
Dunoon. Again, a very busy port & wonderful seascapes, the
views of Loch Long going round by Ardentinny are superb.
The next excursion takes us the length of the Kintyre
Penninsula, all the way to Campbeltown with a stop at Tarbert,
a noted fishing port. Campbeltown is one of the remotest towns
in Scotland. The views across to Islay, Jura and Northern Ireland
are remarkable, often across the pounding Atlantic Surf.
Campbeltown is noted for a Malt Whisky which will make your
hair stand on end! Also for a fishing fleet & making wind
turbines!!
Finally the optional tour takes you by Glencoe, round Loch
Leven and up the shores of Loch Linnhe to Fort William.
Fantastic Mountain and Fjord scenery all the way.
Home every night to all of the Highland Heritage refinements
and a warm, welcoming Hotel.

most scenic areas but also the great historic
landmarks on Iona, Bute, Edinburgh and Glenfinnan
(optional), not to mention the Forth Bridge crossing
and Standing Stones in Kilmartin Glen. This is an
absolute blockbuster tour, all complemented by your
superb Highland Heritage Hotel and all the Highland
Heritage extras you have come to expect. Ferry to

- Loch Lomond & Scottish Museums
- Callander & Stirling Castle
- Oban & Lorn
- FortWilliam &Treasures of the Earth (optional)
These tours are the highlight of our year as well as the people who come to enjoy them. They are off the coach, dine, and seem to hit the floor dancing and enjoying themselves. It is a great time for groups of friends to come together and enjoy the best Scotland has to offer. The day trips are shorter and suit the season. The trip to see the refurbished Kelvingrove Museum is fantastic, as are the trips to Stirling Castle and Oban. Finally we have an optional excursion to Fort William via Rannoch, Glencoe and Loch Leven. Great, great days out, a roaring fire to come back to, a warm hotel, dinner, fellowship, good entertainment and the odd wee drammie. Life doesn't get better than this at any price. We celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, NewYear's Eve and NewYear's Day and all great fun. Don't forget to bring your fancy dress costumes! |
